Diane Cowan

Diane grew up in Springfield, VA. and has many friends and family members throughout the Washington DC area.  Since 1987, Diane has been helping individuals in Northern Virginia overcome pain and disability by applying her skills as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  Getting her start in treating patients with chronic pain, Diane transitioned to orthopedics 16 years ago and has transformed the lives of numerous patients by returning them to an active, pain-free life.

Ten years ago, Diane achieved the title of Certified Pilates Instructor (CPI).  She has incorporated the Pilates Method of Exercise into both the rehabilitation population as well as individuals in the community seeking to improve their health and sense of well-being.

Diane was first introduced to Physical Therapy at a very young age with her mother’s involvement in a serious car accident and subsequent two years of extensive rehabilitation.  Taking comfort in knowing her mother was getting better because of the efforts of the skilled therapists, it was then that Diane decided to pursue a career in the field of rehabilitation.
